This policy explains what personal data PlusPeps+ (pluspeps.com) collects, why, who it is shared with, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Questions or requests: info@pluspeps.com.
What we collect
- Orders: your name, email address, phone number (if given), billing and delivery address, and what you ordered.
- Your account: if you create one, your login details, order history and loyalty points.
- Checkout email: if you type your email at checkout and do not finish the order, we keep it with the cart contents so we can send a reminder (see “Emails” below).
- Messages: what you write to us through the chat on the site, by email or on WhatsApp.
- Partner programme: if you apply as an affiliate, the details you enter in the application.
- Usage data: pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location from your IP address, and how you reached the site, collected by the analytics and advertising tools described under “Cookies”.
We never see or store your full card details. Card and Apple Pay payments are processed by our payment provider.
Why we use it
- To process, ship and support your order, and to handle returns. (Legal basis: performance of a contract.)
- To keep accounting and tax records we are required by law to keep. (Legal obligation.)
- To send order-related emails such as order confirmations and shipping updates. (Contract.)
- To send a small number of service reminders, such as a reminder about an unfinished cart, a back-in-stock notice you asked for, or a reorder reminder after a previous purchase. Every one of these emails has a one-click unsubscribe link. (Legitimate interest; you can object at any time.)
- To understand how the site is used and to measure our advertising. (Consent, where required, or legitimate interest.)
- To prevent fraud and keep the site secure. (Legitimate interest.)
Who else receives it
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the shop, each under its own data protection terms:
- Payment provider (card and Apple Pay processing): the details needed to take payment.
- Carriers (for example Posti and other tracked-shipping partners): your name, delivery address and, where needed for delivery, phone number and email.
- Resend (email delivery, EU region): your email address and the content of the emails we send you.
- Chatwoot (live chat): what you write in the chat.
- Google Analytics (Google): usage data about visits to the site.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram advertising): usage data and, for purchases, hashed (scrambled) contact details used to measure our advertising.
- Our hosting provider, which stores the website and its database in Europe.
- Internal order tools: our staff receive order notifications through a private messaging channel so orders can be packed and shipped.
Some of these providers (for example Google and Meta) may process data outside the EU/EEA. Where they do, the transfer is covered by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
Cookies and similar technologies
- Strictly necessary: cookies WooCommerce needs to keep your cart, login and checkout working. These cannot be switched off without breaking the shop.
- Analytics: Google Analytics cookies that count visits and show which pages are used.
- Advertising: the Meta pixel and related cookies that measure whether our adverts lead to visits and purchases.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking analytics and advertising cookies does not affect your ability to shop.
How long we keep it
- Order and invoice records: for the period required by accounting and tax law.
- Account data: until you ask us to close your account.
- Unfinished-cart emails and reminders data: deleted or anonymised once it is no longer needed for the reminder, and never kept after you unsubscribe.
- Support messages and chat: up to two years.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it (unless the law requires us to keep it), ask us to restrict or stop processing it, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and receive your data in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Write to info@pluspeps.com and we will reply within one month.
You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU country where you live.
Changes
We may update this policy when the shop or the services we use change. The current version is always on this page.
